The Prime Minister’s Council on Homelessness has been established to ensure the accountability of the reform agenda of the White Paper on Homelessness by providing an independent overview of the implementation of White Paper goals and targets for 2013 and 2020. The Council meets bimonthly, and reports directly to the Prime Minister.

The Council comprises:

• Ms Netty Horton, General Manager of Community Services, St Vincent de Paul Aged Care and Community Services, VIC
• Prof. Margaret Hamilton AO, Executive Member, Australian National Council on Drugs, VIC
• Ms Christine Edwards, Chief Executive Officer, Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund, VIC
• Mr David Cant, Chief Executive Officer, Brisbane Housing Company, QLD
