Supported Accommodation Models

Supported accommodation is a form of accommodation that provides paid and/or voluntary staff to support homeless people using the service. Generally crisis, short term and many medium term services provide support within the accommodation, whilst long terms services provide off-site support.

Below is a range of resources about supported accommodation models.

You can add to the discussion and knowledge base around supported accommodation models;

Key Resources

  • The Youth Accommodation Information Kit – a resource that provides an overview of supported accommodation in New South Wales.
  • The HIV/AIDS Supported Accommodation Plan – a resource that has been developed by NSW Health to guide the development of services for people with HIV/AIDS unable to care for themselves in their own homes, information provided in the plan includes those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

If your organisation provides a supported accommodation service please ensure the service can be found in the homelessness programs section of the site.
